The vineyard

The journey begins in our vineyard in Grande Champagne, where we allow the fruit to grow to its optimum ripeness before we pick and press.

Distillation

Our Cognacs are double distilled in 9 copper pot stills, from October until March 31st of the year following the harvest.

Ageing

As one of the few Cognac houses to retain traditional cellars along the banks of the Charente River, we benefit from year-round natural temperatures and humidity that enable the smooth development, through the ageing process, of Louis Royer’s mellow and signature full-fruit style.

Our promise

With our own vineyard, distillery, cellars and bottling facility strengthened by the experience passed down through five generations of the Louis Royer family, we expertly manage and control every step of the process ourselves from vine to glass.
